Mobi by eInstruction

eInstruction Training Handout and Agenda

One of the best features of the Mobi is its Multi-User Mode. Currently the Mobi is the only slate that allows up to nine users to write on the same board. Below is a tutorial on how to set up the Multi-User Mode. The presenter also shares some great ideas for using this feature in your classroom.

SMART Board and Beyond Training Notes

Do you have a SMART Board or Airliner and aren't sure what to do with it? Do you need a little brushing up and some things? Did you know that you could use your Document Camera (Elmo) to grab pictures or snapshots of books to put in your lessons to use again and again? You can take images from the web as well using the Snapshot tool. Do you use Envision Math everyday, but only want to show your students certain problems. Use the capture tool to put those problems into a Notebook or digital lesson that you can use again and again. I'll show you how.

Come to our SMART Board class Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday April 12 during your outclasses.

Information on the portal - Notebook file with items to look for in the gallery that were mentioned during the training (This link takes you to the district portal -- you must be on campus to open this site)

Ways to the Document Camera in the Classroom

This is a working document. Please feel free to add your ideas for using the document camera in the comments section below this post.

1) Everyone shares their library books, title, author, and why…
2) Math Manipulatives – Use so that everyone can see what you are doing…
3) How to grade/score papers – math timings
4) Papers without names on them
5) Writing in planners/agenda to show where homework goes, etc. You also have a record of homework given to have students look at when they have been absent.
6) Book shortage – Display the text larger, so that everyone can read... have kids come up and point things out.
7) Copy an image to use as a reference at a later date.
8) Book Share right before/after library time
9) Science Experiments – Video tape for next block or to show at another time
10) “Scan” images to send home (Disciplince referrals, homework, worksheets, etc.)
